What do I do and what will OFTEC provide me with, once I've passed my assessment in Great Britain?

Training Competent PersonsYou must fill in the OFTEC Registration Form R/250. Information concerning yourself and the company for which you work must be completed in full, and a declaration needs to be signed to agree to the Rules of Registration (R/100). Download R/100 PDF The form should be given to you by your Training Provider, but if you require a form, please contact OFTEC.Download R/250 PDF.

If you already have a current individual registration and have taken additional qualifications, please download the R/526 form and return it to us with payment and a copy of your Certificate of Competence so that we can add the new qualifications to your records and issue the appropriate documentation.  Alternatively, simply ring us with your credit/debit card details

Your company will need to sign a declaration concerning Public Liability insurance cover, minimum £2,000,000.

OFTEC will process your form as quickly as possible, provided that it is fully completed and is accompanied by the following:

 

• 2 photographs
• A copy of your certificate of competence
• Registration Fee –
  Individual £210 + VAT for 5 years
  Company £510 + VAT for 5 years*

 

Therefore for a sole trader registration would be £720 plus VAT.

 

For new registrants we can now offer a one year Sole Trader registration at a cost of £280 plus VAT.  (After your one year registration has expired you will only have the option to take up the five year registration).

 

* If you are a new registrant and you have taken your assessment at certain centres you may be eligible for £200 towards Company Registration. This means that you get 5 years' worth of Company Registration for only £310 + VAT. Please also note only one discount will be accepted per business registration. For a list of centres participating in this scheme click here. If you have passed your OFTEC course at one of the participating centres you need to do nothing more, your £200 discount will be applied automatically by the OFTEC Registration Department.

 

As from 6th April 2009 any technician renewing their registration within 6 months of expiry, will be automatically entitled to £100 loyalty discount off business registration. Please also note only one discount will be accepted per business registration.

 

If your registration application is accepted (OFTEC has to have received confirmation from Certification Body of successful assessment ), OFTEC will send certificates for individual technicians, a certificate for your company, an identity badge listing the classes of registration and a chance to purchase control documentation and various products from OFTEC Direct
